Easy Pineapple Dip Recipe
This Pineapple Dip came about from a no-bake Christmas cookie I was trying. It was pretty bad; taste was less than desirable and the texture was even worse…so I changed the ingredients and ended up with an awesome sweet dip! I also ended up licking the spoon. Sometimes it’s those failures that turn out to be wins.
This fruit dip uses canned pineapple (making it a great year-round dip) and only a few other simple ingredients.
Ingredients Needed
Just 5 ingredients go into this easy pineapple dip.
(Scroll below to the printable recipe card for details and measurements.)
- Canned crushed pineapple – Canned pineapple makes this a great year-round dip. Make sure it’s drained and squeezed of its liquid.
- Cream cheese – Softened to room temperature so it blends easily.
- Powdered sugar – For sweetness. Avoid granulated sugar, which makes the mixture grainy.
- Vanilla – For added flavor.
- Nilla wafer cookies – These cookies are ground into fine crumbs and added into the dip and also used whole as dippers.
How to Make Pineapple Dip
It’s so easy to make this sweet dip in just 3 steps.
(Scroll down to the printable recipe card for details and measurements, and don’t miss the video below.)
- Blend the cookies. Pulse the Nilla Wafers in a food processor until finely ground.
- Combine the ingredients. Beat together the cream cheese and powder sugar until combined, then beat in the pineapple, cookies crumbs, and vanilla.
- Chill. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for an hour, then serve with Nilla Wafers as dippers.
Proper Storage
If you’re not serving this dip right away, it will need to be stored in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator. Before serving, allow dip to soften a bit at room temperature. Any leftover dip should be kept in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator and will last for up to 3 days.

I loved this dip so much. It was easy and delicious.
Delicious!! I am lazy and did not feel like cleaning a food processor for 8 nilla wafers…just put those wafers in a ziploc bag and use your rolling pin to grind into crumbs!!
My family loved it and I am going to make it again for a party this week! I am going to try making it a day before the party and store in refrigerator overnight. I love a spotless kitchen when guest come so everything I can get done the day before helps.
Fantastic dessert dip for any gathering! Easy to make with few ingredients.

Had the grandchildren tonight and was looking for a treat! This was perfect ! Thank you for sharing!
I have made this recipe multiple times. Delish. Add cool whip to mine. Kids like it better that way. Plus goes a lot further as far as portions.
Made it yesterday- was soooo good !!!!!! Thanks for sharing
Yes it does it says crushed pineapple drained and squeezed. Well
It doesn’t say what kinda of pineapple to use chucnks, crushed tid bits
Hi Kathy. Yes it does. Crushed :)
Can I use fresh pineapple?
Sure!
Thank you for sharing this delicious dip, very refreshing.
Did you use crushed pineapple in it’s own juice? or in syrup?
I’ve used both. Either is delicious. And since it’s squeezed of all liquid, the difference is negligible IMHO.
Yes it does Crushed and juice drained and squeezed. Well
I could eat this with Club Crackers!! I love pineapple and I love cream cheese….win win!!
Hi! Looks yummy! Can any other fruit be substituted for the pineapple?
Can you change nilla to Graham my family is fussy they don’t like them or have you tried?
Hi Linda – I haven’t tried that, but I can’t imagine that wouldn’t be delicious also!
Tried graham crackers with this…..not too bad.
Vanilla extract or Vanilla flavoring?
Extract
I made this Nilla Pineapple Fip. It is delicious and I WILL make it again!
Do you actually use vanilla flavoring?
Love your recipies….is it possible to get nutritional breakdowns? Im diabetic, so every ounce of sugar needs counted….thanks!
Thank you, Melanie! Unfortunately, I just don’t have the time to figure out that information for every single recipe, but if there are particular ones of interest to you, there are online calculators that will do that for you by plugging in the ingredients.
Do you know the name of the on line calculater that figures out the nutritional and calories info?
I don’t use them, so I didn’t have a particular one in mind. I just know if you Google for Calorie Calculator, a bunch will come up.

Need party recipes. Dips and allelse you can give me.
This was SO good. And too easy! LOL. Dangerous.
Made this for a Mother’s Day brunch. Should have doubled it…went so fast!
I love when flunkie recipes turn into something else! What a great dip – pineapple & cream cheese work so well together, yum!
Growing up, I would sit and devour (slowly) half a box of Nilla Wafers. I love them. Still love them in banana pudding. And I think I would lick the bowl on this dip. YUM. This is one of those just-different-enough dips that you can put out and I think people would go crazy over it.
When I was a kid, my grandfather was diagnosed with diabetes. My mom immediately put a ban on all hostess ding dongs and most cookies (it was a depressing time, I must say!) But she still allowed Vanilla Wafers in the house. Go figure.
We give our diabetic residents at NH graham crackers or vanilla wafers for snack at night lower in refined sugar
Can I put this in puff pastry and bake it?
Well it has fruit in it, so it must be healthy…right? :P
Oh goodness…I can’t wait for Superbowl!!!
I made this yesterday mine is very thick like cake icing not light and fluffy like the picture
