This is the best Roasted Green Beans recipe! Fresh green beans are oven roasted with seasonings until crisp tender, then tossed with fantastic chopped Sriracha flavored almonds for a little added kick and crunch! This is a quick and easy side dish that pairs well with any protein.
When my kids were little, they’d grimace every time they’d see me cutting up green beans or broccoli. But once roasted, they’d have two or three servings. Because roasted vegetables. Are they not just the best?!
As if roasted green beans aren’t delicious enough on their own, I tossed them with some chopped Sriracha flavored almonds…and OMG. Have you tried them? SO GOOD. They’re really what make this roasted green beans recipe next level.
I could pretty much make my favorite roasted broccoli or these green beans with every meal – they’re both awesome easy side dishes and go with pretty much everything.
What’s in this Roasted Green Beans Recipe?
You only need 3 main ingredients, plus salt and pepper to make these roasted green beans. You can find the exact measurements in the recipe card below.
- Green Beans – Fresh! Make sure they’re washed, dried, and the ends are trimmed. You could also cut them into 2 & 1/2-inch pieces, if preferred.
- Olive oil – Coats the green beans for richness and necessary moisture.
- Seasonings – Coarse salt and pepper is all you need to season the dish.
- Sriracha flavored almonds – The addition of chopped Sriracha flavored almonds is amazing! It’s a great easy way to elevate the flavor without more seasonings.
What Temperature to Roast Green Beans?
425 degrees is what you want. High heat for a shorter period of time is best and will get you a crisp but firm outside and tender inside.
How Long To Roast Green Beans?
Fresh green beans take about 15-18 minutes at 425 degrees F depending on how well you like them cooked. Roast until the green beans are tender and slightly crisp. Don’t over-cook them or they’ll be mushy.
Helpful Tips
- Cut the beans or leave them whole. You can roast the green beans whole (ends trimmed) or cut them into smaller pieces. Between 2 and 3-inch pieces are good. I wouldn’t go smaller than that, though or they might burn.
- Place onto the baking sheet in a single layer. Vegetables let off moisture as they cook and if they’re piled on top of one another they will steam and not roast.
- Toss halfway through cooking. This allows the green beans to roast evenly and brown on all sides. The charred beans are the most delish!
Serving Suggestions
Roasted green beans are an easy side dish that pairs perfectly with baked chicken breast, roast chicken, salisbury steak, meatloaf, or just about anything!
Proper Storage
Any leftover cooked green beans should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will keep for 3 to 4 days. Note that the longer they’re stored, the softer they will get. I like to pop them in the air fryer for a couple minutes to crisp back up.

First time roasting green beans and sure won’t be the last. We loved this simple side. The flavored almonds were genius. Such a great way to add more flavor and make it a bit heartier too. I think next time I might add in a bit of bacon as someone else suggested.
