Chocolate covered Oreos are such a fun treat that can be customized for any holiday. I’ve made St. Patrick’s Day Oreo Cookies and monster pops for Halloween. These red white blue Oreos are another favorite. They’re great for 4th of July, Memorial Day, and summer picnics and BBQs in general. Plus, they’re quick to make, easy to transport, and everyone loves them!
Helpful Tips
- Any Oreos work. You can use any flavor of Oreos. Regular, Golden Oreos, Double, Mega, Red Velvet, etc.
- Make sure to use candy melts. This recipe will not work with white chocolate chips and food coloring. Stick with Wilton candy melts or Ghirardelli melting wafers. Wilton has many fun colors, so that’s what I used.
- Work quickly. Once the chocolate is melted, you want to work fairly quickly to dip the Oreos so that it doesn’t begin to cool and set before you’re done.
