Party Punch Recipe

(Scroll down for the easy printable recipe card.)

Ingredients you need:

  • Ice cubes (about 6 cups)
  • Maraschino cherries (stems removed)
  • 12 ounce bottle Grenadine
  • 6 cups orange juice (no pulp), chilled
  • 2 Liter bottle lemon-lime soda (such as 7UP or Sprite), chilled
  • 2 Liter bottle ginger ale, chilled

How to Make Party Punch

  1. Drop 1 maraschino cherry into each slot of 2 ice cube trays, then fill with water. Freeze.
  2. Add the ice to a punch bowl.
  3. Pour the grenadine over ice.
  4. Pour the orange juice, lemon-lime soda, and ginger ale on top.
  5. Give it a gentle stir to combine.
  6. Garnish with just a few orange slices and maraschino cherries.
  7. Ladle into glasses or cups and enjoy!

Punch Recipe Notes

  • Make the ice cubes with lemon-lime soda, instead of water. No watered down punch from melting (water) ice cubes!
  • Convert it to an alcoholic party punch (Dirty Shirley Party Punch), by adding in vodka or coconut rum. 1 ounce alcohol to an 8 ounce serving of punch is a good general rule to start with. Taste and adjust from there.
  • Wait until just before serving to add in the soda, since it will go flat within a couple hours.
  • This recipe makes 23 cups of liquid, so you will need about a 7.6L beverage dispenser or an 8 Quart punch bowl to accommodate the punch with the ice cubes. You can easily double or halve this recipe depending on how many guests you have.

I love this punch! It’s really tasty and so easy to make in a large batch for parties, especially for those who don’t want an alcoholic beverage. And, let’s be honest, it’s SO easy to add alcohol after pouring into individual glasses if you want. Less time in the kitchen and more time to enjoy my guests!
