Salsa Ranch Dressing (aka Santa Fe dressing) is the Tex-Mex condiment you didn’t know you needed, but you do! It’s so creamy and tangy with a bit of heat, perfect for drizzling over salads, burgers, or serving as a dip on a veggie tray.
Easy Salsa Ranch Dressing Recipe
As much as we love my classic homemade ranch dressing, this salsa ranch dressing is giving it a run for its money. It’s essentially ranch dressing with salsa blended into it and you may have also seen it called Santa Fe dressing.
Salsa plus Ranch is the combination you didn’t know you needed, but trust me – you do. They work so well together! This is a great addition to salads, especially ones with Tex-Mex flavor, and makes an excellent dip for veggies too.

- Salsa – Your favorite store bought salsa or you can use homemade salsa too. Spicier salsa will result in a spicier dressing of course.
- Buttermilk – The base of the dressing, adding a tangy undertone.
- Mayonnaise – Adds a creaminess to the dressing.
- Ranch seasoning – My homemade ranch seasoning is perfect for this or a store bought packet is perfectly fine, too.
- Lime juice – Helps cut through the creaminess and brightens the flavor.
- Water – Thins the dressing just a bit.
- Sugar – Just a little helps to balance the acidity and other flavors.

Another option is to use it as a veggie tray drip! For parties, I love to make a tray and offer this salsa ranch dressing, classic homemade ranch dressing, and blue cheese dressing as dipping options.
