Easy Pizza Dip Recipe

Pizza night takes on a new meaning with this cheesy pizza dip recipe! It’s everything I love about pepperoni pizza, just in a warm, creamy, totally dippable form. I whip it up anytime we have friends over or for an easy weekend snack, and it’s always the first thing to disappear! That gooey layer of cheese, the zesty pepperoni—it’s basically pizza in a bowl, and I’m obsessed.

The best part about this dip? My whole family loves it—especially the kids! It’s one of those go-to recipes I pull out on nights when we’re all craving pizza but don’t really feel like ordering out. It’s fun, easy, and totally hits the spot without the hassle of making (or waiting for) a whole pizza.

See below the recipe card for step-by-step images.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. brick cream cheese, room temperature, full fat is best but low fat will work
  • 1 cup fresh shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 13 oz. pizza sauce, store bought or homemade
  • ¼ cup mini pepperoni
  • crostini or garlic bread, for dippers

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Mix together the cream cheese, half the mozzarella cheese, half the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Spread the cheese mixture in a greased 9-inch pie pan in an even layer.
  • Spread the sauce over the top of the cheese layer.
  • Top the sauce with the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Sprinkle the pepperoni over the top.
  • Bake for 25-28 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  • Serve with crostini or garlic bread.

Notes

  • Pepperoni: If you want to make this with original-size pepperoni instead of mini pepperoni, you will need 12 to 14 slices, but I highly recommend cutting them up into pieces. The larger the pieces of pepperoni, the harder it is to scoop up with your bread.
  • Add more toppings. Whatever toppings work well on a pizza will work wonderfully on this dip. If you’re using any meat, make sure they are pre-cooked.
  • No Italian seasoning?  No worries. It’s a nice touch that adds some more pizza-y flavor to the dip, but if you don’t have any, this will still taste fabulous.

How to Make Pizza Dip Step by Step

Combining the ingredients for the cheese layer.

Combine the ingredients: Combine 8 oz. cream cheese, ½ cup mozzarella, ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp pepper in a large bowl. Spread into a greased 9-inch pie pan.

Layering the cheese with pizza sauce.

Enjoy: Serve with crostini or garlic bread.

How to Store & Reheat Leftovers

Any leftover pepperoni pizza dip should be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container. It will keep for up to 4 days. When you want to serve it again, just pop it in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes until bubbly.

Serving Suggestions

This cheesy pepperoni dip should be served warm from the oven. My favorite way to serve it is with crostini or garlic bread. However, you can also dip breadsticks and even wonton crackers. Pretty much any savory dipper will work but I definitely recommend some type of bread for all that delicious pizza flavor.
