Easy Dill Pickle Popcorn Recipe

If you love dill pickles, this dill flavored popcorn is the snack you didn’t know you needed. We love dill pickle anything around here, as seen in our dill pickle coleslaw, dill pickle chicken salad, dill pickle dip, and dill pickle cheddar chips, and this dill pickle popcorn is one of our favorites for road trips.

All you need is a few simple ingredients, including popcorn, dried dill, garlic, and sour cream and onion potato chips. The flavor combo is downright addicting and the salty chips add so much to the recipe.

Why You’ll Love This Seasoned Popcorn

Pickle popcorn is about to become your new favorite snack. Here’s why.

  • Full of dill pickle flavor. Dried dill ensures every bite of this popcorn is filled with that tangy dill pickle flavor.
  • Only 5 ingredients. The ingredient list for this popcorn is short too, with just a handful of ingredients you probably already have on hand.
  • Ready in minutes. It takes literal minutes to pull this recipe together, especially if you start with bagged popcorn.

  • Popped popcorn – You can use my foolproof stovetop popcorn recipe (highly recommended!) or buy it already popped (I prefer bagged Skinny Pop.)
  • Olive oil cooking spray – Helps the seasonings stick to the popcorn.
  • Dried dill – Dried dill is what gives this pickle popcorn the dill flavor.
  • Garlic powder – Enhances the dill flavor.
  • Sour cream and onion potato chips – These add a salty contrast to the popcorn and the flavor pairs perfectly with the dill.

Serving Suggestions

Dill pickle popcorn makes a great savory and salty snack for anytime. Its unique flavor is a nice change from regular popcorn and we tend to serve this up in situations where we might typically eat chips.

This is also a hit at kids’ birthday parties, game day, road trips, or for movie night. Anytime you’re craving a little salty dill flavor, this pickle popcorn will become your go-to!

Proper Storage

This dill pickle popcorn is best enjoyed immediately, as popcorn tends to go stale quickly and the olive oil can make the popcorn soft as well. However, if you do have extra, be sure to keep it in a tightly sealed container or ziploc bag. It should be okay at room temperature for a day or two.
