These Candied Bacon Crackers (aka Pig Candy) are irresistible bites made with Club crackers, bacon, and brown sugar with a hint of spice. Perfect for snacking, game day get-togethers, and parties!
Easy Pig Candy Crackers
If you’re looking for a crazy delicious and easy snack, you have to try these candied bacon crackers! Also known as pig candy crackers, these crackers are a Southern favorite made with Club crackers topped with bacon and brown sugar, baked to crispy, caramelized perfection.
Pig candy is a lot like potato chips – you can’t have just one. I learned quickly that whenever I make these to double the recipe because they disappear quickly!
What’s in This Candied Bacon Crackers Recipe?
These fantastic crackers are made with just a few ingredients. (Scroll down to the recipe card below for measurements.)
- Club crackers – You can use any buttery crackers that you want but Club crackers are the perfect size for slices of bacon.
- Bacon – I recommend regular bacon. Thick cut bacon will take too long to cook.
- Brown sugar – Caramelizes the bacon.
- Cayenne pepper – A bit of cayenne pepper mixed with the sweet brown sugar really makes the flavor prop, but if you are opposed to anything spicy, you can easily just omit the cayenne. You could also use black pepper instead.
Serving Suggestions
If you’re hosting a party, you could put these out with other snacks like fire crackers, ranch oyster crackers, or hot buttered cheerios. And consider buying extra bacon to make either our bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers or our bacon wrapped chicken bites, or both!
Proper Storage
- Fridge. Store leftover pig candy in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Freezer. Once they’ve cooled completely, transfer the candied bacon crackers to a ziploc bag or freezer safe container. Freeze for up to 1 month. Let thaw before reheating.
- Reheat. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes to maintain the crispness.

These were so easy to make for a appetizer. Everyone loved them.
Wow these were SO GOOD! I coated both sides of the bacon in the sugar/cayenne mixture before placing them on the cracker. Thanks for the tip about loosening them from the rack before they dry. Will definitely make again. 10/10
This recipe sounds wonderful! I live in Maryland. So…I plan on substituting the cayenne with Old Bay seasoning. We put Old Bay on everything! Thanks ;)
I can’t wait to make these! We make the bacon wrapped chicken all. the. time. Our kids’ friends request it for every party/gathering. These look amazing!
