5 STAR REVIEW

Easy Pig Candy Crackers

If you’re looking for a crazy delicious and easy snack, you have to try these candied bacon crackers! Also known as pig candy crackers, these crackers are a Southern favorite made with Club crackers topped with bacon and brown sugar, baked to crispy, caramelized perfection.

I find that this pig candy is a lot like potato chipsโ€”you can’t have just one. I learned quickly that whenever I make these to double the recipe because they disappear quickly!

Serving Suggestions

I made the pig candy crackers with bacon, brown sugar and pepper. The bacon comes off the cracker when I go to eat it. Any suggestion ? I want to take them to tailgate tomorrow. I did let them cool.

    1. Amy@BellyFull says:

Make sure that there’s enough brown sugar on the bacon and the cracker, so as it cooks and caramelizes, the moisture helps it stick.

Wow these were SO GOOD! I coated both sides of the bacon in the sugar/cayenne mixture before placing them on the cracker. Thanks for the tip about loosening them from the rack before they dry. Will definitely make again. 10/10

This recipe sounds wonderful! I live in Maryland. So…I plan on substituting the cayenne with Old Bay seasoning. We put Old Bay on everything! Thanks ;)
