The Best Breakfast Pizza Recipe
Breakfast pizza is one of our favorite savory breakfast dishes. It’s quick, easy, customizable, makes plenty to share, and always a hit with the kids. I mean, pizza for breakfast? Absolutely!

Why You’ll Love This Savory Breakfast
- Lots of veggies and cheese. This pizza is made with spinach, roasted red peppers, and two types of cheese. I love the roasted red peppers with feta cheese and spinach adds a nice pop of color.
- Egg on each slice. Lots of breakfast pizzas are made with scrambled eggs but I decided to crack eggs on each slice of the pizza instead. They bake up to perfectly sunny side up with slightly runny yolks.
- Easy to customize. I make this pizza slightly different every time, based on what we have fresh in the house. Feel free to customize it with your favorite toppings!

- Pizza dough – Use either a half recipe of my homemade pizza dough or a 13.8 ounce tube of Pillsbury pizza dough.
- Olive oil – Gets brushed on the dough.
- Bacon – Cooked until crispy to crumble on top of the pizza.
- Garlic – Provides aromatics and flavor.

How To Make Sheet Pan Breakfast Pizza
Here’s an overview of how to make this breakfast pizza recipe.
(Scroll below to the printable recipe card for details and measurements.)
- Bake the crust. Preheat the oven to 350F then coat a baking sheet with nonstick spray. Stretch the pizza dough to a 15×12 rectangle. Bake for 6 minutes, until just set and a bit golden.
- Cook the bacon. Cook the bacon until crispy then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Assemble the pizza. Brush the dough with olive oil. Top with bacon and garlic then the mozzarella, spinach, roasted red pepper, and feta cheese. Gently crack the eggs onto the pizza 2 inches apart. Sprinkle with black pepper and red pepper flakes.
- Bake. Bake for 13-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the egg whites are set but the yolk is still slightly runny.
- Enjoy. Sprinkle with diced scallions, slice, and enjoy.
Tips for Success
- Bake the crust first. This is an essential step in ensuring that the crust actually bakes completely. It will not bake enough after you add the toppings.
- Don’t pile the toppings too high. If you add extra toppings, be sure to spread them out over the pizza and not add too many or the crust can get mushy.
- Use freshly shredded cheese. For the best melted texture, grate the mozzarella cheese from the block.

Serving Suggestions
Breakfast pizza, obviously, makes a fantastic breakfast but I actually love to serve it up for brunch. It’s perfect for sharing! Pair it with roasted asparagus or cucumber tomato salad, or something sweet like blueberry coffee cake or morning glory muffins.
How To Store & Reheat Leftovers
- Fridge. This breakfast pizza is best enjoyed immediately because of the egg. However, you can store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
- Reheat. Reheat the pizza in the oven for just a few minutes until heated through.

Sheet Pan Breakfast Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 pound homemade pizza dough (that's half of my recipe, or 1 tube Pillsbury refrigerated pizza dough)
- olive oil
- 6 slices bacon , chopped
- 3 cloves garlic , minced
- 1 & 1/2 cups freshly shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup torn fresh baby spinach leaves
- 1/4 cup roasted red pepper strips , roughly chopped
- 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 6 large eggs
- couple turns of freshly cracked black pepper
- pinch red pepper flakes
- 1 scallion , diced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F. Lightly coat a large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick spray and gently stretch the pizza dough to a 15×12 rectangle. Bake for about 6 minutes or until just set and a bit golden. Let cool slightly.
- In the meantime, add bacon to a skillet and cook until crispy. Using a slotted spoon, transfer to a paper-towel lined plate to drain.
- Brush the partially cooked dough with olive oil and then top with the bacon and garlic, followed by the mozzarella, torn spinach, roasted red pepper, and feta cheese.
- Carefully crack the eggs, one at a time, onto the pizza 2 inches apart.
- Sprinkle pizza with the black pepper and red pepper flakes.
- Bake for about 13 to 15 minutes or until the crust is golden and egg whites are set, but yolks is still runny (adjust time accordingly – all ovens run differently.)
- Out of the oven, sprinkle with the diced scallions. Slice and serve.
