These Air Fryer Peaches are my new favorite thing to make when I want a summery dessert without turning on the oven. In about 15 minutes, the peaches turn warm and jammy beneath a buttery, caramelized, cinnamon topping, with juicy middles practically begging for a scoop of vanilla ice cream or yogurt. These air fried peaches are SO easy and quite possibly the simplest little treat you can pull off when peaches are at their best!

The Easiest Peach Season Treat
My air fryer always gets plenty of use once peach season rolls around. My family has loved my air fryer peach hand pies for years now, but these air fried peaches hit differently. They’re simple in the best way, with a buttery brown sugar topping that brings out the peaches’ natural sweetness instead of covering it up. I get the best results with ripe peaches that give slightly when gently pressed, but are still firm enough to hold their shape.
This recipe makes enough for two, but you can easily prepare more in batches. I serve mine with vanilla Greek yogurt and granola (or pecans if I’ve got them), though they’re just as delicious with ice cream or enjoyed on their own for breakfast, a snack, or dessert. And don’t worry if you don’t have an air fryer. You can make them in the oven too! If you try these peaches and realize warm, caramelized fruit is your thing, my air fryer pineapple is another quick treat you’ll want to try!
Helpful Tips & Variations
- Choose ripe but firm peaches. Look for peaches that smell sweet near the stem and give slightly when gently pressed. Rock-hard peaches may not soften enough in the air fryer, but very soft or bruised peaches can quickly lose their shape. I usually choose fruit that feels heavy for its size but is still firm enough to handle.
- Peel them if you prefer. I leave the skin on because it helps the peach halves hold together as they soften. But if your family doesn’t like peach skin, you can peel them first. Just keep in mind that the peaches will be softer and more delicate.
- Use softened butter and spread it evenly. Softened butter is much easier to mix with the brown sugar and cinnamon, and it stays where you spread it instead of clumping. I make sure to cover the entire cut side of each peach, not just the little pit cavity, so they caramelize evenly as they cook.
- Check for tenderness and caramelization. These air fryer peaches are ready when a fork or small knife slides easily into the thickest part and the topping looks glossy, bubbling, and lightly caramelized. Take them out before the peaches start getting too soft or the sugar gets too dark.
- Cook more in batches. This recipe makes two servings, but you can adjust the serving amount as needed in the recipe card below! Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook more peaches in a couple of batches.

How to Make Air Fryer Peaches Step by Step

Gather all of your ingredients.

Prepare the peaches: Wash and thoroughly dry 2 medium ripe peaches. Slice each peach along the natural seam, twist the halves apart, and remove the pits. Try to keep the peach halves intact so they cook evenly.

Soften the peaches in the air fryer: Place a paper liner in the air fryer basket, then arrange the 4 peach halves cut-side down in a single layer. Cook the peaches at 350°F for 5 minutes. At this stage, the cut sides should look slightly softened and moist, but the peaches should still feel firm enough to flip without breaking.

Mix the cinnamon butter: Meanwhile, stir together 2 Tbsp room-temperature butter, 2 Tbsp brown sugar, ½ tsp cinnamon, ½ tsp vanilla, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Mix until smooth and spreadable.

Flip and add the topping: Carefully turn each peach half cut-side up using tongs or a small spatula. Divide the butter mixture between the peaches and spread it evenly from edge to edge.
Continue air frying at 350°F for another 7-10 minutes, checking at the 7-minute mark. The peaches are ready when the topping looks caramelized and bubbling, and a small knife or fork slides easily into the peaches.

Add the toppings and serve: Carefully transfer the warm air fryer peaches to serving bowls or plates. Top with granola or chopped toasted pecans and serve with vanilla Greek yogurt or ice cream. Enjoy!

Serving Suggestions
I count two peach halves as one serving, and you can dress them up with whatever toppings suit the moment! My favorite way to serve them is with vanilla Greek yogurt and granola for a little crunch, as shown above. Chopped pecans are delicious too, or try walnuts or almonds if you prefer. Plain Greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey is another simple option that lets the warm peaches shine!
When I want something sweeter, I’ll add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or go with frozen yogurt for the best of both worlds. Add a drizzle of caramel sauce or a generous spoonful of homemade whipped cream for something a little more indulgent. Or for an extra special breakfast, spoon the peaches and their juices over oatmeal, or chop them up and pile them onto these sheet pan pancakes.
Storing Leftovers
It’s easy to cook only what you need for this recipe, so I rarely have leftovers! But if you do make extra, let the peaches cool completely, then store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
Reheating
These juicy peaches are delicious cold, but you can also reheat them in the air fryer at 325°F for a few minutes or warm them briefly in the microwave.
Freezing
I don’t recommend freezing this recipe as the peaches will become much softer once thawed.
