Remember the giant fruit punch bowls that seemed to always be at school dances and birthday parties when you were young? You’d guzzle it like there’s no tomorrow because it tasted like liquid dessert. This homemade fruit punch recipe is like that, but better – sweet, fruity, bubbly, and so delicious. It combines three fruit juices, fresh fruit ice cubes, and lemon-lime soda. Keep it kid-friendly or add some alcohol for a grown-up punch.

Alcoholic Fruit Punch

We love drink recipes that can be made in large quantities where alcohol is optional so everyone can enjoy them, like our Shirley Temple Party Punch, Sherbet Punch, and Strawberry Lemonade. This fruit punch recipe is another great example. Make it non-alcoholic as written, or add in some booze if you’ll be serving this to adults only. We recommend vodka or a moscato.

  • Individual glasses: Simply fill a glass with ice, add 1 ounce (one shot) of alcohol, then top off with the punch. Stir and enjoy.
  • Punch bowl: Stir in 2 cups (or to taste) of alcohol into the punch bowl before adding the lemon-lime soda. Then add the fruit ice cubes.

Serving and Storage Instructions

This fruit punch recipe makes approximately 20 (8 ounce) servings, so you’ll need either a large punch bowl or 2-gallon drink dispenser. Leave out cups and let guests serve themselves.

It’s best served right away and enjoyed within a couple hours. As time goes on, it will lose its fizz. If you’ve got leftovers, freeze the punch in an ice cube tray. This way, you’ll have flavored ice cubes for future drinks!
