I know it sounds crazy, but I hate water. Flavored water, yes. Plain water, no. So the idea of drinking the recommended 16 cups of water a day is torture. But it’s much more tolerable if I dress it up with red, white, and blue flavored ice cubes! Aren’t these cute?! They’re perfectly festive for any 4th of July celebrations
These colorful ice cubes are also good for that cold drink you’ll need to wash down all these Red, White, and Blue Muddy Buddies you’ll be consuming!
Helpful Tips
- Fill the ice cube trays easily. The easiest way to fill the ice cube tray slots is with an angled measuring cup that has a spout or a squeeze bottle.
- Let each layer freeze. Before pouring in the next layer of liquid, make sure the previous layer is completely frozen or the colors will just blend together.
- Keep the ice…on ice! Make sure to keep the red, white, and blue ice cubes on top of regular ice in a cooler so they don’t melt before guests can grab some for their drink.
