The first time I ever heard of this Kiss on the Lips cocktail was onboard a Carnival cruise. I knew immediately I had to recreate the fruity cocktail at home!
This copycat Carnival Cruise Line cocktail recipe is spot on in taste, texture, and look but it’s so easy to make. It’s a frozen cocktail made with white rum and peach schnapps so it definitely packs a punch, even though it tastes light and fruity.
I love enjoying this in the summer on a hot day or when I’m lounging by the pool. This recipe makes 2 large portions (just like you’d be served on the cruise ship) or 3 regular-sized portions, so it’s perfect for sharing!

- Mango cocktail mixer – This mango mixer is the one I use.
- Peach schnapps – Adds another level of fruity flavor to the frozen cocktail.
- White rum – Feel free to use whatever brand you prefer.
- Grenadine – This is pomegranate syrup (pomegranate juice that’s sweetened with sugar), which adds flavor, sweetness, and the red color to the drink.
- Maraschino cherries – For garnish.
How to Make A Kiss on The Lips Cocktail
Here’s how to quickly and easily make this Carnival Cruise cocktail at home, in just a few steps.

- Blend the ingredients. Blend the ice, mango mixer, peach schnapps, and rum until completely smooth.
- Add the grenadine. Pour in the grenadine and stir a couple of times to swirl it in.
- Serve. Pour into your glass and garnish with maraschino cherries.
Tips & Variations
Here are a few helpful hints for making this Kiss on the Lips drink.
- Use mango instead of mango mixer. You can use frozen mango chunks and omit the ice entirely if preferred. You’ll need 4 cups of mango chunks. You will need to taste and adjust the sweetness, as frozen mango is not as sweet as the mixture. Add simple syrup to taste.
- Blend in the grenadine if desired. We are swirling in the grenadine, so when we pour it into the glass, there is a slight color variation throughout the drink. The is optional and you can blend it all together in step 2 if you wish.
- Try it with a different rum. You can replace the white run with spiced rum, dark rum, or coconut rum.
- Switch up the garnish. I used maraschino cherries as that’s what the cruise line uses and I tend to have it on hand, but you can also use mango chunks, an orange or lime wheel, or fresh mint to garnish your Kiss on the Lips drink.
Can I Prepare This Kiss On The Lips Drink In Advance?
Since this is a frozen drink, it should be served and enjoyed immediately. I do not recommend making them ahead of time, as even if you put them in the freezer, the consistency won’t be right.

Ingredients
- 4 cups ice
- 10 ounces mango cocktail mixer
- 3 ounces peach schnapps
- 1.5 ounces white rum
- 1 ounce grenadine
- maraschino cherries , optional for garnish
Instructions
- Place the ice, mango mixer, peach schnapps, and rum into a blender.
- Blend until completely smooth.
- Pour in the grenadine, and gently stir a couple of times to swirl it in.
- Pour into your serving glass and garnish with cherries, if desired.
