Light and refreshing with amazing flavor, this Honey Deuce Cocktail is made with vodka, lemonade, and raspberry liqueur. It’s the official cocktail of the US Open, but if you’re not able to enjoy one courtside, you can easily make it at home in minutes.
US Open Honey Deuce Recipe
We’re a big baseball and tennis family, and while we’ve easily been to more than a dozen ballparks to watch the major leagues, we had yet to attend a grand slam tournament…until last year. We went to the US Open and it was everything and more, from NYC to the matches, to the food and drink, to the shear spectacle of it all.
This honey deuce cocktail is the US Open official cocktail and it is DELISH! Light and refreshing, with complex flavors, sweet but not too sweet. And the best part? You can make it at home in less than 5 minutes, without paying the $22+ it’s sold for at the tennis tournament.

- Vodka – The official US Open cocktail is made with Grey Goose. However, you could use another preferred brand of vodka here. Just make sure it’s a good quality one!
- Lemonade – Any pulp-free lemonade will work, either homemade lemonade or store bought.
- Chambord – You could also use another premium raspberry liqueur.
- Crushed ice
- Honeydew melon balls – Prepared ahead of time and frozen, for garnish. Simply scoop small balls from the melon using a melon baller or very small cookie scoop and freeze until ready to use.
How To Make a Honey Deuce Cocktail
Here’s how to make this simple cocktail in a few quick and easy steps.
(Scroll to the bottom for our easy printable recipe with the complete directions.)
- Pour the vodka. Fill a Collins glass with crushed ice. Add the vodka.
- Add the other ingredients. Pour in the lemonade, stopping below the rim. Add the Chambord.
- Enjoy. Give the cocktail a stir, garnish with the frozen honeydew melon balls, and enjoy!
Tips & Variations
- Add some simple syrup. If needed, you can add some simple syrup to the cocktail for additional sweetness. I would make the cocktail first and then decide as store-bought lemonade can be quite sweet.
- Prep the honeydew melon balls in advance. I like to prep these at least a few hours in advance, just scooping them out of the melon with a melon baller and flash-freezing on a baking sheet before I transfer them to a ziploc bag.
- Can I make this as a big batch cocktail? Yes! To make this for a crowd, multiply the ingredients by the number of drinks you plan to make. Combine the vodka, lemonade, and Chambord in a pitcher then refrigerate. Give it a good stir before pouring into glasses.
Serving Suggestions
Obviously, the honey deuce cocktail is perfect for enjoying while watching the US Open but even if tennis isn’t your thing, you can still enjoy this drink. I think it’s perfect on any hot summer day and the light pink color makes it perfect for brunch or lunch with the girls, girls’ night in, bridal showers, and other fun occasions.
