My family loves these pizza rolls. They’re such a delicious twist on traditional pizza, turning our favorite toppings into an appetizer-sized bite. Or side dish! Depending on how many people you’re serving, they’re pretty filling. I made these with supreme pizza toppings like pepperoni, sausage, and bell peppers but they can really be made with any pizza toppings. And cheese, lots of cheese!

What’s in this Pizza Rolls recipe?

These cheesy supreme pizza rolls are made with the standard supreme pizza toppings, like pepperoni, sausage, and bell pepper. Scroll down to the recipe card below for the exact measurements.

  • Pizza dough – This recipe uses half of my pizza dough recipe or a pound of frozen pizza dough. Sometimes I’ll double the recipe to use my entire pizza dough recipe if I’m making this for a crowd.
  • Marinara sauce – I love to use my homemade marinara sauce if I have some on hand. Store-bought marinara works too.
  • Mozzarella cheese – Freshly shredded will deliver the best flavor and melty goodness.
  • Crushed red pepper flakes – Adds just a bit of heat and flavor to the pizza rolls.
  • Pepperoni & Italian sausage – Two classic toppings in any supreme pizza.
  • Green bell pepper – Another classic supreme pizza topping. Red bell pepper is fine too.
  • Parmesan cheese – I like to use parmesan with the mozzarella for a variety in flavor and extra cheesiness.
  • Fresh parsley – For garnish.

Pizza Rolls Variations

I made these as cheesy supreme pizza rolls because we love that combo of ingredients, but just like traditional pizza, these can be customized as desired. Keep it classic with pepperoni, cheese, and sauce, omit the meat and add more veggies for tasty vegetarian pizza rolls, or skip the veggies and load up on the meat for a meat lover’s version.

I haven’t tried it yet but I bet a chicken alfredo version would be super tasty too, using the ingredients from my chicken alfredo pizza recipe.

Tips for Success

  • Leave a dough border. When adding the sauce and toppings, leave a 1/2-inch or so border along the edge of the dough. The filling will spread as you roll the dough and if it’s already on the edge, it will just fall out.
  • Don’t overfill. Try not to go too crazy with the toppings. If you customize the recipe, try to keep to roughly the same amount of total toppings. Adding too many makes it a bit difficult to roll and also prevent the dough from cooking properly.
  • Leave space in the pan. When placing the pizza rolls in the pan, leave a bit of space between each one. They will expand a bit as the dough cooks in the oven.

Serving Suggestions

I love serving these supreme pizza rolls as an appetizer. They’re perfect for game day and they’re also a big hit with hungry teenagers. They could also be served as a side or even a meal – I’d say probably 3 pizza rolls per person to make a meal.

How To Store & Reheat Leftovers

  • Fridge. Store leftover pizza rolls in the fridge, either in an airtight container or tightly covered with plastic wrap or foil. They’ll stay good for 3 days.
  • Freezer. They can also be frozen. Wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat from frozen in the oven or thaw in the fridge.
  • Reheat. The best way to reheat these is in the oven or the air fryer, just until warmed through. The microwave works too but they tend to get soggy.
