Mini Deli Sandwich Charcuterie Board

Summer is really about mini celebrations, right? Memorial Day weekend, Fatherโ€™s Day, 4th of July, weekday nights by the fire pit, and weekend BBQ potlucks. Basically seven days a week of fun after work and things to look forward to.

Itโ€™s also all about no-bake treats, refreshing drinks, food off the grill, small bites, and mini food!

Iโ€™m back with another charcuterie board. I just love them. Charcuterie boards are so easy, versatile, and fun. This one is a Mini Deli Sandwich Charcuterie Board – perfect for entertaining this summer.

I went shopping at my beloved Safeway – I adore their deli counter and their Primo Taglioยฎ exclusive line of premium hand trimmed meats and naturally aged cheeses. Made with the finest ingredients,ย  using traditional, time-honored preparation methods, and no artificial flavors or colors, or MSG** (** With the exception of some classics like American cheese and certain value meats.)

Many of the Primo Taglio meats use whole muscle meat with no binders or fillers, and their cheese uses the highest quality milk and old world recipes, which can be naturally aged up to two years.

What to include on a Deli Sandwich Charcuterie Board

It was hard to narrow down what I wanted on my board! Since so many people have different tastes, itโ€™s good to have a variety, though.

1. Oven Roasted Turkey Breast
2. Black Forest Ham
3. Italian Dry Salame
4. Dill Havarti
5. Shaved Parmesan
6. Manchebo cheese
7. Thinly sliced dill pickles
8. Thinly sliced red onion
9. Cherry tomatoes
10. French baguette, old style mustard, and mayonnaise drizzled with hot sauce

Other additions or substitutions could also include Primo Taglio oven roasted chicken, roast beef, pastrami, Muenster cheese, Mozzarella, or Provolone. Safeway has so many delicious options!

Was curious how to calculate just how much to prepare for a crowd of say, 10-12? Can you recommend amounts of each?

    1. Amy @Belly Full says:

Hi Sandra – the general rule is 2-3 ounces of deli meat per person and 1 1/2-2 ounces of cheese per person. So for 12 people, you’ll want about 2 pounds of meat and a scant 2 pounds of cheese. (How you divide that up between the different varieties will depend on you and your guests tastes, of course. I often serve more roast beef and turkey, than I do pastrami and corned beef for instance, because the former seem to be more universally liked.) 1 long baguette, sliced thin, should suffice for the bread. I always buy a little extra of everything, since you never know who will have seconds…or thirds!
