The nutty, earthy flavor and creamy consistency of this Tahini Dressing Recipe makes for a wonderful addition to salads, as a dip for raw veggies, or drizzled over roasted vegetables. It's made with just a few ingredients and comes together in minutes.
You can blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth, whisk vigorously in a small bowl, or place everything in a jar with a tight fitting lid and shake vigorously until thoroughly blended.
The dressing should be irresistibly thick and creamy. If it's too thick to drizzle though, whisk in more cold water, 1/2 tablespoon at a time.
Use as desired. It's great for salads, over roasted vegetables, or used as a dip for a raw veggie tray.
Notes
Tahini paste. Tahini paste is made from ground sesame seeds and gives this dressing the tahini flavor. It's available at most grocery stores located near the peanut butter or in the international foods aisle.Make it vegan. For a vegan tahini dressing, simply swap the honey for maple syrup.Adjust the consistency. You want the tahini dressing to be thick and creamy but you should also be able to drizzle it easily. If it's too thick, whisk in more cold water.Proper storage. Store the tahini dressing in an airtight jar or container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. It may thicken over time. If so, just thin it out with a little more ice cold water, as needed, and shake again to incorporate.
