Ingredients
8ouncescream cheese, at room temperature
1/4cupmayonnaise
1/4cupsour cream
1cupshredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
1/4cupfreshly grated Parmesan cheese
2scallions, diced
3teaspoonsWorcestershire sauce
1/2teaspoonhot sauce
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
12ouncesfully cooked salad shrimp
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly coat a 9-inch cast iron skillet (or baking dish) with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise and sour cream. Stir in 1/2 cup of the Monterey Jack cheese, Parmesan, scallions, Worcestershire, hot sauce, and garlic powder; and a little sprinkle of salt and pepper to taste. Gently fold in the salad shrimp.
Spread mixture into the prepared skillet; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese.
Place into oven and bake until bubbly and golden, about 20-25 minutes.
Serve immediately with dippers of your choice (suggestions listed in the article.)
Notes
Adjust the heat level. If you want to make a spicy shrimp dip, add some more hot sauce or sprinkle in some cayenne pepper. You could even add in some diced jalapenos.Use different shrimp. You can use canned shrimp, or if you want to use raw shrimp, cook it yourself and then dice it into smaller pieces. The key is very small pieces that can be evenly distributed throughout the dip and make it easier to eat.Add different seasonings.
