Notes
If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, stir all the base ingredients together with ice in a glass (or use a mason jar with a lid) until well chilled.
Give it a fun pumpkin-pie twist with a cinnamon-sugar or crushed graham cracker rim—it makes the drink look as good as it tastes.
For that classic layered look, pour the cream slowly over the back of a spoon and let it swirl down through the drink.
Add a drizzle of maple syrup or a splash of pumpkin spice liqueur if you have it on hand for added sweetness.
You can make a large batch of these up a few hours before you want to serve them. Just strain the mixture into a container with a lid, and when you want to serve them, add the heavy cream to the coffee mixture.
