Quick and easy, this Oreo Mug Cake recipe is made with just a handful of pantry staples plus Oreos and mini chocolate chips. It's rich, decadent, has an airy texture, and takes just 6 minutes to prepare!
In a large coffee mug, whisk together the milk, oil, and vanilla.
In a small bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, salt, and the Oreo cookie crumbs until incorporated.
Add the flour mixture to the mug and mix well with the milk/oil until combined and no lumps remain.
Sprinkle on the mini chocolate chips and the remaining crushed Oreo.
Microwave for 1 minute and 10 seconds.
Let cool slightly, drizzle with a touch of cream and a dollop of whipped cream.
Notes
Use a large mug. Use a mug that's microwave safe and holds at least 1 & 3/4 cups of liquid. This is best in a large mug, but one that's more shallow instead of tall. If your mug is too small, the cake can rise over the top and make a mess!Adjust cook time, if needed. This Oreo mug cake takes 1 minute and 10 seconds for me, but of course, this can vary depending on the mug you use and your particular microwave. It will also depend on how soft and gooey you like your cake. Start off microwaving for 1 minute, then add 10-second increments until it's properly cooked through but not dry.
