With hot dogs, onions, peppers, and pineapple coated in BBQ sauce, these Grilled Hot Dog Kabobs are a fun, easy summer recipe. Adult and kid-approved & perfect for BBQs!
If using wooden/bamboo skewers, make sure to soak them in water for at least 20 minutes.
Slice hot dogs into quarters and cut red onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and pineapple into 1-inch pieces.
Preheat your grill to medium-high.
Thread the skewers by alternating in this order: red pepper, green pepper, hot dog, onion, pineapple. Repeat this pattern until the skewer is full. Build the other skewers the same way.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili powder until thoroughly combined.
Oil the grill grates well, brush the sauce all over the skewers, then grill the skewers, flipping every couple minutes and basting with more sauce, until charred, about 8 minutes.
Remove from the grill and serve with your favorite BBQ sides like baked beans, coleslaw, macaroni salad.
