Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream together the brown sugar and butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Then add in the chickpeas and chocolate chips.
Add in the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt.
Drop the dough by tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart. Press down gently on the tops to flatten.
Bake for about 12 minutes until the cookies are golden and just set. Transfer to a cooling rack.
