Made with just 4 ingredients, these Cheddar Onion Ring Chips are an easy, lower carb snack! They’re a tasty alternative to traditional deep fried onion rings and potato chips when you're craving something salty.
Add freshly shredded cheddar cheese to each circle (about 1/4 cup.)
Next, add an onion circle on top of the cheese and two pickled jalapeños on top of the onion. Sprinkle with a bit of creole seasoning.
Bake at 400F for about 12-15 minutes or until the edges start to brown. (Watch them carefully, as they can go from done to burnt quickly.)
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Then run a dull knife around the edges of the cheddar onion chips to take them out.
Transfer to paper towel-lined plates to drain for 10 minutes and crisp up.
Serve with marinara sauce for dipping if desired and enjoy!
Notes
You can also bake these on parchment paper. Mound portions of the cheese mixture on the baking sheets, with 2 inches between. Flatten them slightly with the back of the spoon. Proceed with the written recipe.
