Ingredients
4largeripe but firm pearswashed and dried (Bosc, Bartlett, Anjou, Asian, Seckel, or your favorite!)
1/3cuphoney(or maple syrup)
1tspvanilla
½tspcinnamon
pinchof nutmeg
½cupchopped pecansseeds or rolled oats also work
ice creamor yogurt or whipped cream, for serving
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Coat a 13x9 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Slice the pears in half vertically, then cut a small sliver off the underside so they lay flat when you transfer them to the baking dish.
Using a measuring spoon, small cookie scoop, or melon baller, scoop out the seeds. Arrange them facing up in the baking dish.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Drizzle most of it all over the pears, reserving about 2 tablespoons for after the pears are finished baking. Top with the pecans.
Bake in the oven about 35 minutes until tender and lightly browned around the edges. Remove, let cool slightly. Serve warm with ice cream or yogurt and enjoy!
