This Triple Chocolate Banana Bread recipe is packed with ripe bananas, sour cream, and three different kinds of chocolate chips. Sweet, moist, easy, and so delicious! Great for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.Step-by-step photos can be seen below the recipe card.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a standard 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the two longer sides.
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and butter. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla until combined. Then stir in the mashed bananas and sour cream.
Add in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir together until just incorporated and smooth. Don’t over-mix.
Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in all 3 different chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. Top with a few more chocolate chips, if desired.
Place in oven and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 60-70 minutes (but start checking after 55 minutes! All ovens run differently.)
Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cook completely. Slice and enjoy!
