Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly coat a large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
Toss the asparagus with the olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper; arrange on the baking sheet in a single layer. Sprinkle with the Parmesan.
Bake until just tender, 12-15 minutes depending on their thickness. (For very thin asparagus, start checking at 8 minutes.)
Drizzle with fresh lemon juice, if using, just before serving.
