This Mini Pearl Onion Boil is an easy twist on onion boil, made with frozen pearl onions baked in a smoky, garlicky, seafood-boil-inspired butter sauce.

Ingredients
14ozbag frozen petite pearl onions
½cupunsalted buttermelted
2garlic clovesminced
2tspbrown sugar
¼tspold bay seasoning
¼tspsmoked paprika
¼tspdried oregano
¼tspgarlic powder
¼tsplemon pepper seasoning
¼tspcoarse salt
¼tspcrushed red chili flakes
pinchcayenne pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375℉. Coat a deep dish 9-inch pie plate (or square baking dish) with nonstick spray.
Dump the frozen onions into the prepared dish.
In a measuring cup or small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, brown sugar, and all the seasonings until thoroughly combined. Evenly pour over the onions.
Cover the pan tightly with foil.
Bake for 55 minutes, then place under the broiler for a few minutes just to char slightly (watch them carefully so they don't burn.)
Enjoy as a side with grilled steak or with toasted bread or you can mix them into cooked pasta. (I just eat them with a spoon because I'm an onion freak.)

Notes
Frozen pearl onions work best here because they’re already peeled and cook up perfectly tender in the butter sauce. If using fresh pearl onions, peel and blanch them first.
