This Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie (aka Derby Pie) is your favorite gooey chocolate chip cookie baked in a flaky pie crust, and with just 5 minutes of prep it doesn't get much easier!

Ingredients
1/2cupunsalted butter, melted and cooled
3/4cupgranulated sugar
1/4cupbrown sugar
1/2cupall-purpose flour
2largeeggs, well beaten
1teaspoonvanilla
1cupfinely chopped walnuts
1cupmilk chocolate chips
19-inchhomemade pie crustor store-bought
vanilla ice cream, for serving
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix all ingredients together until well combined and pour into the pie shell.
Bake 45 to 55 minutes until crust is baked and top is golden and crackled. (Check the pie around 35 minutes and if the crust is over-browning, cover it with a crust protector or foil.)
Serve right away if you want it warm and gooey. For a firmer texture, allow to cool for a few hours before slicing. Serve on its own or with ice cream!
Notes
Add in some Bourbon. To get this pie closer to authentic Derby Pie, add in a splash of Kentucky Bourbon!
