Servings: 50acorns
Ingredients
12ouncebag chocolate candy melts
50milk chocolate Hershey's kissesunwrapped
50mini Nilla wafer cookies(see note)
50mini chocolate chips
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
Melt the candy melts according to package directions until melted and smooth.
Very gently dip the flat end of the Hershey's Kiss into the chocolate just so there's a very thin layer, and immediately place it on top of the flat side of a mini Nilla wafer cookie, pressing to attach it.Place on the prepared baking sheet, cookie side down, and repeat with the remaining cookies and kisses.
Using a spatula, transfer the remaining melted chocolate to a small Ziploc bag; snip off a very tiny corner.
Pipe a smidge of the melted chocolate onto a mini chocolate chip and attach it to the top of the wafer to create the stem.
Let set at room temperature or place the baking sheet with all the acorns in the fridge for about 5 minutes to set completely.
Notes
Mini Nutter Butter cookies can be used instead of Nilla wafer cookies if peanut allergies are not a concern.Candy melts will provide the best results. If melting regular chocolate chips, you'll need to stir in coconut oil or the acorns won't set properly.
