Ingredients
1poundground beef
28ouncecan crushed fired roasted tomatoes
6ouncecan tomato paste
1largecelery stalk, diced small
2mediumcarrots, peeled and diced small
1mediumsweet onion, diced
3clovesgarlic, minced
1/4cupdry red wine(or white)
2teaspoonsdried Italian seasoning
1teaspoonkosher salt
1/4teaspoonblack pepper
1/4teaspoonof cracked red pepper flakes
1bay leaf
1/3cupwhole milk
freshly grated Parmesan, for serving
torn fresh parsley, for serving
Instructions
In a 6-quart slow cooker, mix together all the ingredients (except the milk, Parmesan, and parsley.)
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours until meat is cooked through and vegetables are tender.
Remove cover and discard bay leaf.
Stir in the milk until warmed through.
Serve with your favorite pasta with a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan and chopped parsley.
