Notes
Type of beer. No need to buy a fancy microbrew that costs an arm and a leg, as it won't make that much difference in flavor. I like using something I wouldn't mind drinking but on the lighter side. Any ale would work great in this recipe. Can I make these without beer? While they technically won't be beer brats anymore, yes, you can make this recipe without beer. Just use chicken broth instead of beer. You may also want to add some extra seasoning as the beer does give the brats lots of flavor.Add some heat. If you want, you can add some sliced jalapenos in with the other peppers to kick up the heat just a bit.
