Ingredients

1/2cupdark beer
3tablespoonshoney
pinchof allspice
1/2cupspicy brown mustard

5uncooked bratwurst links, cut into 1-inch chunks
8miniature tri-colored sweet peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
2teaspoonsolive oil
Pinchof coarse salt and pepper
Pinchof dried oregano
Instructions
In a small saucepan, stir together the beer, honey, and allspice. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and gently simmer, uncovered, until the liquid has reduced by half, about 8 minutes. Stir in the mustard. Remove from the heat and let stand until ready to serve.
Preheat an air fryer to 400F for a few minutes.
Drizzle the bratwurst pieces and peppers with the olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and dried oregano. Toss to coat.
Arrange bratwurst pieces and sweet pepper halves in the air fryer basket in a single layer (cooking in batches, if necessary.) Air fry for 5 minutes, give it all a shake, and air fry another 4 to 5 minutes until the peppers are tender and the bratwurst is cooked through to 165F internally.
Serve the warm bratwurst and peppers with the mustard sauce and enjoy!
Notes
Cook in a single layer. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook these brat bites and peppers in two batches. You'll want to make sure there's a bit of space between pieces so that the air can circulate properly and ensure the brats develop a caramelized exterior.Add some onions. If you'd like - especially if serving these as a meal - you can add some onion to the recipe for a twist on the classic bratwurst with peppers and onions.Try a different dipping sauce. You can certainly use a different sauce if preferred, but beer, honey, and mustard pair so well with the brats and peppers.
