Oh goodness. Who’s still full from Thanksgiving? Are your pants snug? Ya…sigh.
Well, I’m about to make matters worse.
I did something with jam. And chocolate. And butter.
I figure we still have two more holidays to get through! Why lay back on the treats now, right? ‘Tis the season for over indulgence and adjustable waistbands.
Feel free to customize the jam flavors to your liking!
Triple-Jam Chocolate Crumb Bars
Makes 36 bars
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
• 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
• 1 egg
• 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted cold butter, cut into cubes
• 4 ounces each, orange marmalade, seedless raspberry jam, and strawberry preserves
• 1 heaping cup dark chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously coat a 13×9 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, pecans, and egg until thoroughly combined. Using a pastry blender or your hands, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; set aside 1 1/2 cups of the crumb mixture. Press remaining mixture on the bottom of prepared pan.
Stir jam to soften and carefully spread on top of the dough in three even sections. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips, followed by the reserved crumb mixture evenly over the top.
Bake for 45 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely in pan before cutting into bars.
WONDERFUL AND VERSATILE RECIPE, I have made this everyday for 3 days straight! I have used peach butter, leftover pecan pie filling and today whole cranberry sauce. Next is apple pie filling. (No we didnt eat the whole recipe each day!) Cut into small squares as these are rich but oh so satisfying! Thank you for the recipe!
YES! So easy to change out the filling to your liking. I’m so happy you’re trying different things! Thanks for stopping by, Kristine!
Oh I lv the recipies u put on don’t realy have time to bake but I always try any recipy that I see
Oh my. So many of my favorite delicious things all in one little package. Must. Make. Now. The holidays are just the perfect excuse for eating anything and everything in sight! :)
Wow. This looks delicious, and it’s a good thing you don’t list calories because we’ve just finished Thanksgiving stuffing and gravy. I love the idea of using three flavors.
Holy moly, this sounds like the ultimate crumb bar recipe! Good thing Canadian Thanksgiving was in October, I had a break and am ready to over indulge ;)
Haha. I think I might still be full from Thanksgiving. Although I wouldn’t pass these up if one was sitting in front of me!
When guests are coming unexpectedly, I always make the same dessert. It is a perfect thing for a tea party or just for those who like tasty sweet things which are rather easy to cook.
What I also love is that you can cut them in as large or small sizes as you like!
I am currently sitting in my apartment surrounded by cookies. What’s one more batch of bars?!
My skinny jeans didn’t stand a chance.
Oh god. Skinny jeans? What are those? :/
Send some my way please!
This sounds so yummy for the Holidays!
I’ve only made these with raspberry jam. This looks delicious.
You could certainly do only one jam, I just loved the idea of doing 3 different kinds for variety :)
Oh god. *Faints*
I. Know. !! I ate far too many of these last week.
