We’re on the tail end of Haley believing in Santa. She’s 8 1/2 and questioning everything (thank you kids at school!)
I’ve been sort of sad about it. I don’t know why, really. I mean, obviously we don’t want our kids to believe forever, because…well, that would be weird. But I just love the fun, excitement, and magic of it all. It just marks another milestone of her getting older.
So, in an effort to curb her skepticism, Paul came up with this brilliant idea, using our iPhones.
And it totally worked!
1. Have one of the spouses change their name to “Santa Claus” on the contacts, so it looks like this.
2. Make sure you delete any prior messages.
3. Have Santa send a note while the partner receives it in the other room.
4. If you want to find some photos, go to google search and look for things to share – maybe a snowy north pole, a present, reindeer, etc. – and save the photos to your phone.
This is the conversation we had with Santa.
Our kids flipped out when they saw this.
I figure we have one more Christmas, at best, but it definitely put her doubts to bed this year!
