I try a new meal 3-4 days a week – some my own creation, some from cookbooks, some from other bloggers.
Some turn out…meh. And some are definitely worth sharing! If you follow me on Instagram, you know what I’m up to. But for those of you who don’t, here are some recipes that we have really enjoyed lately.
(One Pot) Pork Chops with a Bacon and Cabbage Cream Sauce (from Sidewalk Shoes)
Pork chops develop a nice crust, then continue cooking in a bacon and onion cream bath, while the cabbage soaks up all the wonderful juices. Happy sigh.
Baked Honey Mustard Chicken (from Simply Recipes)
Sweet honey, tangy mustard, and olive oil create a very simple sauce that coats the chicken and tossed in a casserole dish. The chicken skin gets all crispy and the pan sauces are awesome over mashed potatoes. Delicious weeknight meal with little effort.
Spinach Tortellini Tomato Soup (from Diethood)
Best Marinade for Grilling Steak (from Recipe Girl)
I have made this so. many. times. Living in CA allows me to grill outdoors all year long, but don’t be discouraged if you can’t. Just use an indoor grill or fry pan!
Butterscotch Pumpkin Bundt Cake (from Nutmeg Nanny)
Ok. Ya. This isn’t a weeknight meal. Although I could make a meal out of it! This cake was well documented on Instagram…because I made it twice in the same week! Practically unheard of for a food blogger. It’s so good. The end.
So much great food and not enough meals in the day!
