How is it after 30 videos here on Very Culinary, some informative, and a lot of them silly, we’ve never made an “about me” ?? Madness.
So, we got to work on it…this past summer (as you can tell from my burnt face and shorts.)
I had a lot of trouble finishing it after Ebi died. I couldn’t stand the thought of editing her footage out and not being in it. But…sigh…it’s time. It’s still a little difficult for me to watch without her. But I do love it.
It’s me.

Oh, your poor sunburn!!! Though difficult for you now, you’ll come to be grateful that you can see Ebi on video ~ she’ll always be part of your family.
How about a video tour of your house?
(Wish I could have a bite of your pie!)
Amy @Very Culinary says
I still miss her terribly. Always will. Sigh. And nobody needs to see my messy house!
Dianna Francis says
Really cute…
Amy @Very Culinary says
Thank you :)
Stephie @ Eat Your Heart Out says
This was so fun! I love it. I bet it was so hard to edit out Ebi’s footage, makes me cry just thinking about it.
Ps, you have nice handwriting.
Pps, Watch out, or one of these days I’m going to do a tour of CA to visit all of the people I know out there and I’ll force you to bake a pie with me. ;-)
Amy @Very Culinary says
I dare you! :D

Aw, sweet video. Loved all of it. And Ginger is perfect in it. Ebi’s memory lives on! xo
Amy @Very Culinary says
Thanks, Cher. I think all the other videos she’s in, and the millions of pictures of her, accomplish that too :D
Jude says
What a great piece to showcase the Very Culinary brand. Beautifully done.
PS – Hi Ginger :)
Amy @Very Culinary says
Thank you, Jude. So much. <3
Stephanie says
Love it! Love you! Such a sweet video. And, PIE! So glad to see Ginger happy in that video, despite Ebi not being a part of it. I bet she’s running through fields with a smile on her face daily! <3
Amy @Very Culinary says
It took Ginger almost 3 months before she stopped looking around the house for her. *sob* But yes! I bet Ebi is somewhere eating something she’s not supposed to…and happy I’m not there to stop her!
Mom says
I watched twice, with a smile on my face both times!

I loved everything about this. I grinned from ear to ear when it said “making lists.”
Love seeing your smiling face. So much. xo
Amy @Very Culinary says
Did you like the making lists or what was on my list? HA. ;-) Thank you, Melissa. It feels good to see it finished…makes me smile, too. <3
Lisa@The Cutting Edge of Ordinary says
Speaking as the Queen of all list makers I say “hell yeah!”
Amy @Very Culinary says
Lisa, sometimes I put things on a list that I’ve already done, just so I can feel like I accomplished something!
Dad says
Wow, all that and you can bake a pie in an hour flat!
Perfect time of year for such a retrospective. I’m bookmarking this one.
P.S. I am NOT a spammer.
Amy @Very Culinary says
That pie really does only take an hour! 1:40 for editing sake ;-)

Thanks, Aunt Jan! <3

Love! And it seems we like many of the same things (sunflowers, painted toes, sharing, and of course, FOOD)…no wonder I so enjoy your blog!
Amy @Very Culinary says
*high five* and thank you so much!
Joan says
Love your new video. Lovely job! And is that Coconut pie?
Amy @Very Culinary says
Thank you, Joan. I appreciate it! And yes, that is a coconut pie. It’s one of my most popular recipes and one of my favorite pies! Here’s the recipe, if you want to make it: https://bellyfull.net/2011/04/28/french-coconut-pie/

That was adorable, only I was crying through it thinking about Ebi. I’m a hopeless fool about my fur babies and beagles in particular. Love me anyway, ok? Thanks for posting this. P.S. We have matching hair. Really. Well, your hair is darker in color, but the curls match.
Amy @Very Culinary says
Makes me love you even more. I still have trouble watching it. I get that tinge of sadness – still miss her so much :( As for the rat’s nest…er…I mean hair, it gets more gray every day. The camera just doesn’t show it!
Julie says
I’m probably 75% gray. Thank goodness for a good hairdresser that can cut curly hair AND color it properly. Unfortunately, the gray is even more coarse and curly. Wah!! I have graduated from straightening it every week to letting it have soft curls (it’s very complicated to get these “soft curls”). I did the natural curl thing for so many years. All I wanted in the 70’s was straight hair that I could flip. Sigh. On another note, we still miss our Heidi and probably always will, but we love our two beagles we have now with all of our hearts. They make our day brighter.
Amy @Very Culinary says
That is the one benefit to curly hair…the gray hides a little bit better. I was a 70’s kid, so I desperately longed for Farrah Fawcett hair. In recent years, I straightened it also. But honestly, it’s too time consuming. I was born with curls, and I’ll die with curls :/
