Anyway…I made Pioneer Woman’s Pumpkin Smoothie within 20 minutes of spotting it. It was good. But it didn’t taste like pumpkin pie. Granted, the title was simply Pumpkin Smoothie, not Pumpkin Pie Smoothie. However, she used pumpkin pie filling, so you can understand my expectations, right?
It left me disappointed. And dreaming of pumpkin pie.
So I went searching, and found this one from Nestle. I was getting closer. But it wasn’t sweet enough and still not quite pumpkin pie enough. I increased the amount of sugar and spice. And then I really did something not usually in my repertoire – I added booze. It was clutch, I tell ya.
Pumpkin pie lovers will either drink all five servings by themselves, or they will share and simply make it again every single day for the entire week.
I think a little glass of this would be a fantastic way to greet your guests on Thanksgiving day. Or you could just give them a glass of straight Kahlua. You know your family better than I do!
