It’s quite possible OXO will be mentioned in my eulogy. They’re so engrained in my every day life. And I do love them and their products so much.

They sent me their salad spinner a few months back and it will, of course, be included in the how-did-I-live-without-this-item-for-so-long? list. It’s awesome. And lately, with the hot summer temps, it’s been used a lot.

You must have one. It not only cleans lettuce, but it’s fun to use :D

Now’s your chance to win one, thanks to OXO for honoring my request. I didn’t even have to beg. They rock. (Side note: I am not beyond begging for OXO stuff.)

The Giveaway
2 (two) lucky readers (1 from the blog and 1 from Facebook) have a chance to win a salad spinner. (U.S. residents only. Color may vary.)

There are three ways to enter: (1) leave a comment on the blog (2) go “like” us on Facebook or (3) Already a fan? Just leave a comment on The Wall.

Want to increase your chances? You can leave a comment here and on Facebook.

The drawing closes this Saturday, July 16th at 8pm EST.

Like Paul’s shirt? It’s one of our favorites. We got it from Snorg Tees. Click here to get one of your own.

UPDATE on July 17th:
Well, it will come as no surprise that it was steep competition this time around…everyone fighting over an OXO product. Naturally :D There were over 150 entries. And I need to find a better way to import y’all into Random.org’s system, because my fingers are tired from typing!

But onto the important news. Our two lovely winners are Wendy Jo (blog) and Julie Hoak (FaceBook.) Congratulations ladies! Thanks for playing. I sure hope you stick around and join in on our conversations. Contact me with your snail mail to claim your prize.

Here’s to OXO and clean, dry lettuce!

My OXO salad spinner is a staple in my kitchen!!! Cannot live without it. I have impressed by mom so much with it, using it not only to spin salad, but berries, tomatoes, and other freshly washed produce, that she just went out and had to get one for herself. Now there is only soggy salad in my mother-in-law’s house!!! I’ve told her about your product, and would love to give it a try for herself, but just hasn’t gotten around to purchasing yet. So, this entry will hopefully let me win one for her, so we can all enjoy that crunchy delicious side dish every time.

Wendy Jo, here’s a tip: Put the lettuce in a pillow case before throwing it that basement floor model spinner! Of course I really think you’re just funnin’ about the piece by piece… aren’t you?

I’ve wanted an OXO salad spinner (and a bunch of their other products) since I saw Alton Brown use it on Good Eats. I am disappointed, however, that OXO products are manufactured in China rather than the U.S. But if I won one, it wouldn’t be my choice not to buy American.

I really enjoyed the video on the OXO salad spinner! Would love to win it. I have been a big fan of OXO products ever since I had carpal tunnel problems and they made my life so much easier. Anybody out there w/ elderly parents who are hard to buy presents for? Here’s a hint: a gift basket full of OXO products is a guaranteed hit! Lots of things to make their lives easier, too. (We like Snorg Tees too, btw!)

I would love to win this. I have a very old one that’s more like a crank, not cool and fun like this one. Then if I win this I can turn the old one into a Spin Art container. Remember Spin Art? Great Op Art in just seconds. The kids love it and quite frankly so do I. I hope I win. It will be nice to pump the water right out of my lettuce and leave it to OXO to make the very best!

Wait a minute. I’ve been bending over the side of that huge mechanical gentle cycle spinner in my apartment building basement for the last few years. It’s been a pain in the butt pulling the lettuce out piece by piece off the sides of that huge drum. Who knew OXO made a counter top version I could keep in my kitchen. Thanks for the video. I really need to get one of these.

This is something I would LOVE to add to my kitchen. My daughter and I have decided it’s time to really get serious about eating healthier and we love salads. Being the conservative I am……I hate using paper products and frown upon using paper towels to dry our leafy greens. My daughter, however isn’t fond of my “shake, shake, shake method” to get the water from the greens. A salad spinner would be an AWESOME win!! Thank you for the wonderful opportunity!!

So I wanted to help my sister-in-law out at a BBQ a few weekends ago. She asked me to make the salad. She said to rinse it off and spin it in her Oxo Salad Spinner. “Ok!”, I said. It looked easy enough. So I rinsed out all the lettuce, chopped it up and loaded up the Salad Spinner. I’d never used one before and was delighted with how easy it seemed to be to use. So I decided to really pump the thing up (not realizing that I’d crammed WAY too much lettuce into the Spinner) to see how fast I could make it go. I started laughing, let go of the thing and just as I was going to call my sister-in-law’s attention to my masterful Salad Spinning skills, the thing started to wobble, the lid popped off and lettuce SPUN out EVERYWHERE.

Well, I was relieved of my salad spinning duties for that day, but we really did get a good laugh out of it – to the point of tears and I REALLY want one of these things! :o) Have a happy summer, everyone!

I have 4 turtles and I use it to spin out their romaine and their dandelion leaves. It works great for coleslaw, gets all the excess water out, who likes soupy coleslaw.
